Actually, I think it’ll be easier if I keep this post separate and let the voting page disappear into obscurity.

For the 2 D.C. days: based on what venue I book, one will be at U.M.D. again, and the other will be in D.C. proper. The demand was SUPER high but too many folks couldn’t make it to the UMD event because it was so far away, so I’ll be back with TWO DATES planned to end the tour.
Please RSVP in the comments or on Facebook if it’s linked. This is the only way I have to get a sense for how big a date will be. PLEASE DO THIS. A certain city THAT SHALL REMAIN UNNAMED did not do this and our venue was not big enough. COUGH COUGH DENVER COUGH COUGH. I’m happy to have a packed house, but it adds stress to me if a date is overbooked. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RSVP. (I am aware there are no FB links yet. They are coming once I finalize stuff!)
Note: I will be in Portland and London/Europe this summer for BOTH LeakyCons, and I’ll have events outside of the con, so I won’t go to either place on this tour. I will book a second leg of the tour this summer prior to LeakyCon to visit all my lovely West Coast cities.
How can you help? Please let me know if you have access to or know of a good venue to host a meet-up. On last year’s tours, we held our events in: restaurants, library meeting rooms, hotel meeting rooms, the basement of a coffee shop, university lecture rooms, etc. Find a way for your school “club” to “host” me! Seriously, I don’t care where it is. As long as we have a place indoors where we can be a bit silly and noisy, that’s all that matters. I do not need to be paid for any appearances, so that should help if you’re trying to convince someone to let me make an appearance. All events, as much as I can control it, will be free and donation-based only.
If you also have a place I could crash for the night or the following day, that would also help, as touring is IMMENSELY expensive, and making the cost lower means I can tour longer and in more places. Also, this year, I do not want to do 12 Greyhound trips in a row because I wanted to DIE after that last year. If you want to roadtrip to multiple events, I am also open to this! Please contact me at the email address below if you’d like to have me annoy you for hours in a car.
Anyway, I would like to spend the ENTIRE month of March on the road, so let it fly. Comment, RSVP on any Facebook pages linked up above, and if you’d like to contact me privately, my email is markreadsandwatches [at] gmail [dot] com.Â
I dearly hope to meet many of you. This is going to RULE. LET’S GET TO WORK.
