It continues to astound me just how fast I feel like I’m moving through this series, but HERE WE ARE, COUSINS. I’m about to start my ninth (!!!!!)\u00c2\u00a0Young Wizards<\/em> book. Before we begin that, however, let’s take one look back at\u00c2\u00a0Wizards at War<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Oh, I\u00c2\u00a0tried<\/em>.<\/p>\n

  1. Darryl will appear!\u00c2\u00a0YES. I AM SO HAPPY.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. So will Sker\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ret, Filif, and Roshaun. See, they didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t go home at the end of the last book, so I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m guessing that they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll stick around to deal with\u00c2\u00a0the thing<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0And they did! And then The Thing dealt with them.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. The \u00e2\u20ac\u0153thing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d being that some huge war is going to start on Mars.\u00c2\u00a0I… I guess, Mark? Did I think that because one of the books had “Mars” in the title that this would BE on Mars?<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. It will be between wizards who support the Powers and wizards that support the Lone One.\u00c2\u00a0Well, I was wrong on this one. Or was I? Actually, yeah, I’ll count this as wrong.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Most of it won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take place on Mars, though.\u00c2\u00a0Well, this is true entirely by accident.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. The main threat: Earth.\u00c2\u00a0Nope. EVERYTHING. LITERALLY EVERYTHING.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. The Lone One will reference what Nita and Kit did in\u00c2\u00a0Wizard\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Holiday<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0Oh gods, It didn’t, did It?\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. A LOT OF WIZARDS WILL DIE. LIKE, A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT.\u00c2\u00a0Look at me, trying to prepare myself.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. Nita\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and Dairine\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dad will have to get involved in the action at one point.\u00c2\u00a0I don’t know if what actually happened counts as this, but he’s got a major scene in the middle of the book when Nita goes home. So… yes?<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. The phone call that Nita got at the end of\u00c2\u00a0Wizard\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Holiday<\/em> will be revealed to be from Tom.\u00c2\u00a0Hi, Tom! I’m glad you and Carl are okay.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. We will meet more new wizards than I can count.\u00c2\u00a0SO MANY NEW WIZARDS.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. There will be a huge battle on Earth at some point.\u00c2\u00a0NOPE.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. Roshaun and Dairine will talk about their ~feelings~ for one another.\u00c2\u00a0WHAT THE FUCK, MARK, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. This book will ALSO end on a cliffhanger.\u00c2\u00a0Thankfully, it did not. It just hurt a whole lot.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All right, my fellow\u00c2\u00a0Young Wizards<\/em> fans. Here’s what I think will happen in book nine:<\/p>\n

    Predictions for A Wizard of Mars<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The titular wizard is Roshaun.<\/li>\n
    2. Because THAT’S WHERE HE WENT.<\/li>\n
    3. So I think this whole book is about rescuing Roshaun, and they find him on Mars. For… a reason.<\/li>\n
    4. I don’t know what that reason is.<\/li>\n
    5. We will also see a healed Ronan as part of the action!<\/li>\n
    6. Darryl will be there, too.<\/li>\n
    7. And there will be an update on Tuyet and Nguyet, who survived the battle on the moon.<\/li>\n
    8. Kit’s family will have adopted a new dog.<\/li>\n
    9. This book will also take place during summer vacation, so the three young wizards won’t be in school.<\/li>\n
    10. The Lone One has some sort of “presence” on Mars, which is why the book is focused on that.<\/li>\n
    11. Kit and Nita will explore the possibility of dating in this book. (IT’S BOUND TO HAPPEN.)<\/li>\n
    12. This book will also address the emotional toll of past events on Dairine.<\/li>\n
    13. CARMELA LEARNS MORE WIZARD STUFF.<\/li>\n
    14. We will meet a new young wizard!<\/li>\n
    15. There will be a big climactic battle on Mars.<\/li>\n
    16. I’M NOT READY.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Onwards, cousins!<\/p>\n
