I genuinely can’t believe I’m nearing the end of the\u00c2\u00a0Circle of Magic<\/em> books. This went by too quickly. I know there are other Emelan books, but I don’t even know what they’re about? I’m scared? I’ll remain in denial, then. Let’s talk about\u00c2\u00a0Briar’s Book<\/em>!<\/p>\n

As usual, let’s go over my last set of predictions:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Daja will interact with a Trader at some point in the novel.\u00c2\u00a0These predictions aren’t even remotely okay because I was eerily right and yet not at all ready for this book.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. IT WILL NOT BE A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.\u00c2\u00a0AND THEN IT WAS OH MY GOD.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Niko backstory!\u00c2\u00a0I’ll keep demanding this…<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Moonstream backstory! …and this….<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Rosethorn backstory!\u00c2\u00a0…and this….<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Lark backstory!\u00c2\u00a0…..and this as well.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. We will see Niko\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s lessons with Tris that help her learn control.\u00c2\u00a0Hmmm… technically, I don’t think this is correct.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. The bulk of the book will follow Daja as she learns to use a forge properly.\u00c2\u00a0Sort of? There’s a lot of forge work, but I don’t know if that’s the focus of the book.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. FROSTPINE BACKSTORY. Bonus points if it involves marrying ME.\u00c2\u00a0Help me, I nearly regret saying this.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. I think we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll see some sort of acknowledgment of what happened in\u00c2\u00a0Tris\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Book<\/em>, namely in the form of construction at Winding Circle.\u00c2\u00a0YES! And lots more!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. I think\u00c2\u00a0Daja\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Book<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0will take place very shortly after the events in\u00c2\u00a0Tris\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Book<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0It did!!! AND THEN I STILL WASN’T READY.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. We will get to see inside a new place within Winding Circle.\u00c2\u00a0nope! All Gold Ridge.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get another scene in Summersea.\u00c2\u00a0Nope.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. Daja\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s closest friend throughout the book (aside from Frostpine) will be Sandry.\u00c2\u00a0Actually, she spent the most time with Briar, which was a pleasant surprise!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  15. Shriek will learn to fly, but will not permanently fly away from Discipline.\u00c2\u00a0Oh god, technically this is right? But then it’s not because they were all at Gold Ridge?<\/strong><\/li>\n
  16. Romance?\u00c2\u00a0Romance<\/em>. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t care who it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s between, IT HAPPENS. I was hoping one of the teachers might get a story like this, but I suspect it won’t happen in any of the books in this specific series.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That wasn’t\u00c2\u00a0awful<\/em>, y’all. Much better than I usually do! And given how the three prior books in this series have unfolded, I think I might do even better for this book:<\/p>\n

    Mark Predicts ‘Briar’s Book’<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Easy one: this book will cover a specific journey for Briar.<\/li>\n
    2. I think that also means we’ll get a backstory of sorts for Rosethorn.<\/li>\n
    3. The book will cover some sort of conflict that concerns plant magic.<\/li>\n
    4. The book will end with some sort of definitive closure on this chapter of the Discipline house characters.<\/li>\n
    5. Moonstream will play a bigger part in the story.<\/li>\n
    6. Daja will interact with a Trader once in this book.<\/li>\n
    7. Briar and Tris will become closer than they were in past books.<\/li>\n
    8. Briar will have to save Rosethorn at some point.<\/li>\n
    9. We’ll also learn more about Briar’s past.<\/li>\n
    10. The entire book will be set in Winding Circle.<\/li>\n
    11. BUT there will be multiple scenes in Summersea.<\/li>\n
    12. A secondary character will die and I am saying this to steel myself for the inevitable.<\/li>\n
    13. Can we get an update about Briar’s adorable plant he got?<\/li>\n
    14. Actually, I don’t have anything else to predict. THIS IS A LOT HARDER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Onwards to my final\u00c2\u00a0Circle of Magic<\/em> book! NOOOOOOO.<\/p>\n
