Hi, Readers! Support me on my epic bike ride!

Hello, Readers! Tomorrow, another Mark Re-Reads Harry Potter post will go up, as promised, but I wanted to put an update about something going on in my life, in between writing, e-book composing, and my normal job. Next month, I’m embarking on a trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles entirely by bicycle. This will be my fourth year participating in the AIDS/LifeCycle, a ride that raises money and awareness for HIV/AIDS prevention and healthcare here in California!

I actually wrote about this very thing during my Deathly Hallows read, and it’s just a few weeks before my ride starts! I’m still $1,600 short of the minimum to ride, and $7,600 from my goal. Granted, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been promoting this at all, but I have faith that the wonderful Internet community we’ve all assembled can help me raise the money rather quickly.

Check out this wonderful post on my Tumblr, which explains what the ride is in detail and includes a link to my donation page. The minimum donation is just $5, and if you can do that or know someone who might be interested, please donate or pass it along! I know money is tight for many people, so if you can just spread the link to family and friends, I appreciate it!

So, as an incentive to donate, if I reach $2,000 by this Friday, I will record and upload a video of myself to my Tumblr performing a cover of Janelle Monae’s “Cold War” that I’ve been fooling around with the past two weeks. PROMISE. I’ve gotten a lot of requests to do a video, so why not make a musical one? YOU SHOULD DONATE! OR HAVE OTHERS DONATE! You will be helping to save lives in the process!

Thanks in advance and happy reading! As a gift in advance, here’s a GIF of a kitty collision:

EDIT: It took y’all 24 hours to do this. I love you. Here’s the video!

  12. obviously like your web-site but you need to check the spelling on several of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality on the other hand I’ll surely come back again.
